Besonders die Aussage, dass das 2019-nCov nichts groß anderes ist als eine 'normale Wintergrippe' ist komplette Desinformation. Sie wird immer noch teilweise in den Medien und von 'Influencern' verbreitet, bestimmt auch von deutschen Publikationen.

Was näher an der Realität liegen dürfte, sagt z.B. Professor Neil Ferguson, Direktor des J-IDEA.

Was sagt er so grob aus seiner Intensivstation:

• bei Infektion gibt es eine beträchtlicher Anzahl an Patienten mit schweren Komplikationen
  
• diese Patienten 'fluten' seine Intensivstation ('... the contagion spread and flooded his ICU ...')
  
• das South Central Krankenhaus in Wuhan hat 66 Betten auf der Intensivstation und es sind aktuell 150 Patienten in Intensivbehandlung ('...three patient wards with 66 beds in South Central Hospital, housing 150 patients')
  
  
• großes Problem ist die Ansteckungsrate ('this disease is highly contagious')
  
• keine wirksamen Medikamente ('Currently there are no special drugs for the coronavirus.')
  
• Intensivpflege dient primär lebensverlängernden Maßnahmen ('The primary purpose of the ICU is to help patients sustain the functions of their body.')
  
• Verweildauer der Patienten in Intesivpflege ist lang
  
  
• aufwendige Behandlung schwerer Fälle notwendig ('Once it has developed into a severe case, hospitalisation is a must. Once it reaches the life-threatening stage, it is way more difficult to treat it and requires more medical resources.')
  
• für die Betreuung der schlimmsten Fälle benötigt man Level-3 Schutzausrüstung ('level-3 protective gear'), welche aktuell knapp ist
  
• im 'Wuhan 7th Hospital', welches ein Partnerkrankenhaus des South Central Hospital ist, hat der stellvertretende Direktor festgestellt, dass sich 66% des medizinischen Personals auf der Intensivstation mit 2019-nCoV angesteckt haben ('He found that two-thirds of the medical staff in the ICU were already infected. ')

Soviel dazu, dass es 'wie eine normale Wintergrippe' ist.
