Merkel is verbraucht and no candidate for anything serious, as video above proves. She trembles like under the spell of Clinton’s curse or something. There are fears that she will simply die during her last term. After her, Germany will move towards green communism, I expect either green-red or green-black goverment. They are already floating the proposition of nationalising housing. Few days ago news said that members of an armed group were arrested that were preparing an uprising (Aufstand) in Berlin; it was to be a right-wing uprising masked as a left-wing action. It sounds like a sensible strategy, frankly, NSDAP strategy, so it could be actually true for once. Run-of-the-mill news used to be about Reichsbürger, namely Germans who do not recognize the German state claiming that since Germany does not have a WWII peace treaty, Germany only legally exists in its pre-WWII form as Reich. As you see, Germans are devoted followers of nominalism. Once I listened to a propanda show in radio (Hörspiel) where a Reichsbürger converted to a Bundesbürger because he needed a health insurance….ehhh…so human, all too human, as Nietzsche would say. At the moment, there is also a talk of limiting constitutional rights of right wingers.
Besides, Germany has the same problem that USA has – auto industry here is too big. I sense a a serious crisis here, since Germany is losing the palette of products to export. The industries here are that of First and Second Kondratiev wave (coal & oil based).
Socially, at least in the Western part, it is the most entitled society I visited. Even Fledermause (bats), or flying mice (sometimes it is fun to read German words verbally, try to translate into German “Batman”: der Fledermausmann), have here their Regierungsbeauftragte (a goverment official whose task is to care for them), Fledermausbeauftragte namely. Merkel’s designated replacement, Annegret (Anne + Grete) Karrenbauer, also has a funny surname that may give a hint to Germany’s future, too: Karrenbauer means “builder of push-pull trolleys”, it is funny but also a kind of sinister if you know that Karre was a prop of the great displacement of Germans from the East after WWII… But there is not a widespread consciousness of being lied to. They are still serious here. Maybe this is a German problem: they are always serious.
Last week two German fighters suddenly fell from the sky and crashed over the “enemy territory” of East Germany…. By the way, it looks like air force exercises were taking place over the entire country, as I was hearing jets for two entire days in SW Germany… Very unusual. It looks like a war SOMEWHERE is looming.

In the current power configuration of big EU, no German can be at the helm of European Commision, since the German power structure there, build by Martin Selmayr around Juncker, must be removed. It is not a question of Weber, it is the problem that he is the last element of the German puzzle in European Commision. The attempt will be made to retake EU for the Atlantic bloc, or EU will implent a self-destruction sequence since EU aim was to bound Germany, not to be bound by Germany. Therefore real candidates are the ones who are Selmayr’s sworn enemies, which essentially limit us to Michel Barnier. Selmayr has an opinion of being a devious intrigant, and is now considered a serious threat. He initially was in bureau of some Bulgarian Commisioner and somehow creeped from there into Juncker bureau; it is clear that he has some atavistic instinct to move towards power. So no effort will be spared to remove him. Should Barnier be not strong enough to get through, Christine Lagarde may be proposed as a world-class politician who will descend from Washington to save EU.
I imagine German sociopaths are being confronted by French sociopaths in this game of thrones. But there is no real win for Germans; since EU wasn’t their idea, they won’t be allowed to take it over.
The fight will be hard: Visegrad group has been already visited by both French and German emissaries.
Germany has already moved towards pacyfing her unquiet allies in the Greater Germany Area: Austria is being sued due to some summer restrictions for German trucks at her roads, Italy is being sued for closing ports to German NGOs refugee ships. The interesting question is why there are no Italian NGOs refugee ships? Why those ships are almost exclusively German, or crewed with Germans? Why it is Germany that is apparently so interested in refugee flow? Isn’t Germany creating here a problem which then only Germany can solve OR NOT? Hahaha! It is hard to be Germany neighbour!
Luckily for Germany, Austria has now a technical goverment, so is essentially unable to take any anti-German action until a new election. Czech Republic, the most pro-German country in Visegrad is being put under stress by big anti-goverment protests (very unusual for Czechs).
