many thanks, we are doing OK at the moment, only some relatives of my colleague have fallen prey to the virus. We stay locked in our homes and work online. I try to concentrate on the work but it is very hard, I keep on hearing the sound of ambulances from my window. It looks like the situation is rapidly evolving also in Germany.

Did you shut down everything? I think the lesson to be learned from Italy is that total shutdown is the only way and should be done as soon as possible. My former colleague in Jena told me that yesterday he was still having meetings.

In the case of South Korea, each person can purchase only up to two facemasks per week. But yet many people cannot purchase them because facemasks are in short supply.
The government controls the price of facemasks. So, facemasks are not expensive. But it is hard to purchase them. So, I know how precious they are.
