Der Neuköllner Linke-Politiker Basem Said hat zusammen mit dem Free-Palestine-Aktivisten Majed Abusalama in einem Instagram-Post zur „Wahlintifada“ aufgerufen. Said steht auf Platz 6 der Liste zur Wahl der Bezirksverordnetenversammlung in Berlin-Neukölln, über die am 20. September neben der Wahl zum Abgeordnetenhaus abgestimmt wird. In dem Beitrag heißt es: „Salam Neukölln. Heute ist eine Wahlintifada. Steht auf für unsere Kinder, unsere Gemeinschaften und unsere Zukunft. Geht jetzt raus und wählt Die Linke: Ahmed Abed für den Bezirksrat von Neukölln und Bassem Said für die Bezirksverordnetenversammlung (BVV).“
